Mutant

(Monthly Club Level Matches Only)

            Mutant is for competitors who choose to employ weapons or gear that does not conform to the ALPhAS Weapon SOP or Category SOP.  Use of 1 qualifying weapon or piece of gear places a competitor in Mutant category.  The following are permitted in Mutant category.

Gear

            Using gear in ways that does not conform to current ALPhAS categories.

Handgun

1. Ported barrel or compensator allowed.
2. Magazines greater than 140 mm (5.5”) in length.
3. Minimalistic “muzzle plug” or “speed rail” (i.e. USPSA Open class style) holsters.  These must securely retain the weapon through a wide range of movement.
